Grammar

Pick out and write down the nouns, pronouns, adjectives and adverbs in the following passage:

On a cold winter's morning, I was walking along a narrow road towards the dense woods behind my home. The sky was clear and the sun was shining brightly yet it was freezing. The road was transformed into a smooth skating ground by the drop in temperature overnight. Reflecting the crisp rays of the sun, the ground was glistening like a shiny mirror. Shame, I was not wearing skating shoes. Gliding slowly, careful not to slip and fall, I did my best to pretend skating.

The woods, home to a wide variety of towering trees, slender yet strong climbers and lush bushes, welcomed me. The trees, climbers and bushes stood like bare skeletons as they have lost their leaves. The thick branches, without their leaves, were struggling to block the sun's rays. Melodious tweets of the birds floated in the fresh morning air. The ground was covered with white powdery snow.
